A team of genetic counselors and geneticists provide community education and screening for nine diseases (Tay-Sachs, Canavan, Gaucher, Niemann-Pick, Familial Dysautonomia, Cystic Fibrosis, Bloom's Syndrome, Fanconi anemia, and Mucolipidosis IV). The Center has a genetics laboratory on the premises, and sponsors a variety of research initiatives in this field.
